We are subject to Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and, to the extent applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. This is stored with our email service provider Brevo to notify you when Memory Portals launch and to communicate about your order. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 6 nDSG).
We use Matomo Analytics in cookieless mode. Matomo collects anonymised usage data (pages viewed, approximate country, device type, referrer) without setting cookies and without identifying you personally. No cross-site tracking, no advertising networks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), without requiring cookie consent.
Our hosting provider All-Inkl.com automatically records standard server access logs (IP address, browser, timestamp, requested URL) for security purposes. These logs are retained for up to 7 days and then deleted automatically.
When you commission a Memory Portal, you share personal content: photographs, names, stories, dates and other materials. This content is used exclusively to create your Memory Portal and is never disclosed to third parties. After delivery we retain a secure copy of your files to support potential future additions, updates or re-prints. You may request deletion of your retained files at any time.
Our demo booking form is provided by Cal.com (EU instance: app.cal.eu). When you book a discovery call, Cal.com processes your name and email to confirm and manage the appointment. Cal.com's own privacy policy applies to data processed on their platform.
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your message in order to respond. This data is not stored beyond what is needed to handle your enquiry.
On our campaign pages /families/ and /de/familie/ we use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. It lets us measure which advertisement led to a waitlist sign-up. The pixel sets the cookie _fbp and sends data about your visit to Meta, including your shortened IP address, browser and device information and the page you viewed. To do this the pixel embeds an invisible frame from facebook.com, which Meta can use to match the visit to an existing Facebook or Instagram account. When you join the waitlist, a “Lead” event is sent as well — without your email address.
The pixel does not load until you have explicitly agreed. A notice appears the first time you open a campaign page. If you decline, or make no choice at all, nothing is sent to Meta and no cookie is set. Joining the waitlist works fully either way.
Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 31(1) Swiss nDSG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Recipient: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Dublin. Meta also processes data in the USA.
International transfer: transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which Meta has joined.
Joint controllership: for the collection and transmission of this data we are joint controllers with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). Meta alone is responsible for any further processing.

All service providers we use are based in Switzerland or the EU / EEA, or have adopted appropriate data transfer safeguards. No data is transferred to third countries without an appropriate legal basis.

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. Personal files shared during project creation are stored securely with access restricted to the Memory Portals team. We do not transmit personal content via unsecured channels.
Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently received data about a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and notify waitlist members by email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
